The Environment Agency wants to find green-minded people who want to make a positive contribution to their environment.
Ten new members are needed for two advisory committees in the Thames region.
The main role of the committees, which meet four times a year, is to advise the agency on issues of special importance to the region, and to act as a regional sounding board.
Four people are needed for the regional environment protection advisory committee, and six people are needed for the regional fisheries, ecology and recreation advisory committee.
Applications are welcomed from people with interests across the range of the committee's remit.
All positions are unpaid, although committee members are entitled to reimbursement of travelling expenses.
