Grove drew level on points with leaders Oxford Harlequins following a decisive 39-3 victory at home to Chipping Norton - with Nick Sevier and Chris Thomas scoring a hat-trick of tries apiece.
Grove started slowly and went behind to an early penalty goal, but they struck back with a hat-trick of first-half tries by full back Sevier.
Chippy's No 8 was sin-binned just before the break, and from the resultant penalty, prop James Eckert went on a solo run from 25 metres to score a magnificent try. The conversion from Sevier gave Grove a 22-3 half-time lead.
The second half saw a hat-trick of tries from winger Thomas, Sevier converting one to complete the scoring.
The title is likely to be decided when Grove entertain Quins this Saturday.
