Care worker Hilda Behan set her sights on raising £1,000 for the Thames Valley Air Ambulance.
But the response to her raffle for a Christmas hamper exceeded all her expectations.
Mrs Behan, 58, from Cholsey, said: "I was staggered when I made £1,102. Everybody was very generous."
She said: "I always do something every year to raise money for charity but now I've decided to support just the one, the air ambulance. It's a wonderful thing and such a life-saver."
Last August she raised £200 with tombolas.
