Power and strength told in the end as Chinnor came from behind to beat Banbury 34-10 in their friendly at Kingsey Road.
Banbury took the lead through Andy Noyce's penalty goal, but just before half-time, Chinnor were awarded a penalty try.
In the second half, the South West Division 1 side pulled away with tries from Paul Hennessy, Lloyd Matchett, Lee Westerman, Louw Kruger and Jon Brooks. Kruger and Westerman added conversions.
Banbury managed a consolation try in the dying seconds through Barry Lalanne, with Noyce adding the conversion.
Bicester and Witney were involved in an exciting 14-14 draw at Oxford Road.
Bicester led 14-0 at the break thanks to tries from replacement Maurice Van Wyk and fly half Mark Nash. Both were converted by Chad Ward.
After the break, Witney hit back with a close range try from flanker Gareth Williams and a well-worked score by centre Richard Martin, with fly half Francis Grant adding the conversions.
Two converted second-half tries from hosts Brackley sent Oxford to a 19-10 defeat.
Oxford led 10-5 at the break, thanks to a try from full back Alistair MacLennan, set up by centre David Ralson. Don Smith converted and later added a penalty.
