Oxon & North Bucks ASA hosted an Inter-Counties Gala at Stantonbury on Sunday for the Kingerlee Trophy and despite three disqualifications for illegal starts, they pressed eventual winners Cambridgeshire all the way.

Overall, the performances from the girls were more impressive than the boys, with pride of place going to Witney's 15-year-old Chantel Clavaud, who recorded two good wins in the 100m backstroke and 100m breaststroke.

Clavaud was also a key member in her age group relay teams, notching two first places with Viki Bell, Lauren Ottley and Jo Trask.

Other winners for the county were Susanna Prince, Sarah Turner, Gemma Butterfield, Laura Beechey and Victoria Reading for the girls, and Nick Harbord and Arran Rose for the boys.
