Bicester and District Citizens Advice Bureau is hoping to expand its opening hours.
The centre, based at Garth House, in Launton Road, wants nine new volunteers and more funding.
The CAB is open about 21 hours a week, but staff want to open full-time, including one evening and Saturday mornings.
Claire Kelly, the centre manager, said: "We're here for the community and want to make sure the community gets the best advice."
The centre is planning fundraising events and will also approach local businesses for donations towards the plan.
And they should hear in May whether they have been successful in applying for National Lottery funding.
The number of cases handled by the centre have risen by 2,000 in the past three years.
