The first performance of Chesterton School Association's annual village pantomime will be on Friday.
Members of the association have been rehearsing since September for Puss in Boots.
Judie Barber takes the lead role as Puss in a 17-strong cast.
Karen Watts, of Banks Furlong, Chesterton, near Bicester, said: "It's great fun and it gets a bit addictive."
The event, the school association's largest fundraiser, usually raises about £1,500 for funds.
Jane Moffatt, the headteacher at Chesterton Primary School, Alchester Road, Chesterton, said: "It is a very good event for community links as lots of members of the village come, as well as people who are connected to the school."
She said the school is planning to spend the money raised this year on computer equipment. In the past the money has been spent on playground equipment and books.
