The Post Office in Iffley, near Oxford, is to re-open on Thursday after being closed for more than a year.
The village's old post office closed in October 2000, when a hunt for new premises and staff began.
The new office is in the Iffley Community Shop, in Church Way, with sub-postmaster Hermann Huyg at the helm.
The new opening hours are: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 9am-1pm; Friday 10.30am-12.30pm; Saturday 10.30-noon; Wednesday and Sunday closed.
