CCTV footage of an armed raid on an Oxford bank has been released by police in the hope it will jog the memories of potential witnesses.
The picture of a man in a dark hat and jacket is published in today's Oxford Mail.
A robber, who said he was armed with a gun, threatened staff in the NatWest bank in Cornmarket at 11am on Friday and escaped with a four-figure sum of money.
No-one was injured in the raid, and armed officers launched an immediate search of the area, helped by the force helicopter. CCTV images of the man were recovered from the bank, and police have now made them public as part of a renewed appeal for witnesses.
Police spokesman Lucy Ferguson said: "We are still very keen to apprehend this man, who put the staff through a terrifying ordeal. However, this man should not be approached by the public."
Police are also appealing for witnesses after a customer was robbed at the Booker cash-and-carry on the Osney Mead industrial estate, Oxford, on the same day at 10.45am. Call police on 01865 266333.
