A married father of one who took indecent pictures of a ten-year-old girl has been jailed for 18 months.
Martin Hutchinson, 44, of Bonds End Lane, Sibford Gower, Banbury, had admitted taking the photographs and possessing other indecent photographs of children.
John Small, prosecuting, told Oxford Crown yesterday that Hutchinson, who had previously taken glamour photographs of older women, arranged to go on a photo shoot in a Nottingham studio in July. But instead of the model he was expecting, there was a ten-year-old girl present.
Mr Small said Hutchinson, who claimed the girl's mother was present, took a series of photographs of the youngster.
He added Hutchinson later contacted a film developing company on the Internet, but an employee told a Sunday newspaper and a reporter met the accused in Banbury and collected the five rolls of film.
Mr Small said the paper informed police and officers searched his house, seizing computers and about 20 images, some of naked pre-pubescent girls, were found on the system. Tom Payne, defending, said: "Although patently indecent, these were not explicit so were not as bad as they might have been."
Hutchinson was jailed for 18 months for taking indecent photographs and three months, to run concurrently, for possessing the computer images.
He will be on the sex offenders' register for ten years.
