Staff at an Oxford school have been overwhelmed by the response to a appeal in the Oxford Mail to replace stolen nursery equipment.
Thirteen toddlers' bicycles, sit-on tractors and other toys were stolen from Emmanuel Christian School, Littlemore, on Wednesday, January 9.
Readers have responded by pledging cash and toys.
Nursery teacher Beryl Hope, who had bought the toys over six years with specially raised funds, said the school would not claim on its insurance because excesses were so high.
So far more than £175 has been pledged for replacement equipment, with more promised, along with four bikes, two tricycles, two see-saws and two pushchairs for dolls.
School secretary Liz Weller said: "We were overwhelmed by the response from people in the neighbourhood and people from all around Oxfordshire as well.
"It took us years to gather what was taken and it's such a relief that people are prepared to help us out in this way."
The school still needs additional bicycles to replace those lost.
Anyone wishing to make a donation can call Mrs Weller on 01865 395 236.
