Detectives are questioning a man following the stabbing of two people in Oxford city centre on Tuesday.
The attack on an Oxford student and a male relative took place shortly after 3pm in Paradise Square.
A 20-year-old woman and her uncle suffered serious stab wounds in the attack and both were treated at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford.
Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
A 30-year-old man who was arrested at the scene and is known to both the victims, was also taken to hospital and treated for a minor hand injury.
The police say the attack followed a long-standing dispute, and that they not looking for anyone else in their investigation.
They have appealed for witnesses who may have seen the incident.
