Oxfordshire's tartan clans are limbering up to celebrate Scotland's most famous poet, Robert Burns.

Members of Oxford Caledonian Pipes and Drums will lead Burns' Night festivities at the Cowley Conservative Club, in Between Towns Road, tomorrow.

The players have been rehearsing hard and will be joined by Oxford University's Scottish Dancers along with Bob East on accordion.

Organiser Derek Dunipace said a traditional Burn's Night supper of haggis, neeps and tatties would be served.

He added: "It should be an enjoyable evening of music and dance. We are expecting about 300 people."

Scottish communities across the country celebrate the life of Robert Burns each January 25.
