Engineers have been getting an unusual view of the Oxford Canal -- from deep inside one of its locks.
The Grade II listed Somerton lock, near North Aston, has been drained to allow repairs to the lock and its 12-ton oak gates.
The work, carried out by British Waterways, is expected to take a fortnight and to cost about £12,000.
It is part of a national programme of repairs during the winter.
