Genetics company Oxagen, which employs ten people at Milton Park, near Abingdon, has bought a genome database from a US drug company.
Scientists have mapped the human genome, listing all the genetic information in the body. Oxagen, which researches diseases such as heart disease and arthritis, paid Celera an undisclosed sum for its sequence of genes from humans and mice.
