Thame United have boosted their squad after signing Tony Joyce from Banbury United.

Although he's unlikely to be in tomorrow's squad for their trip to struggling Dulwich Hamlet, he is a big part of boss Andy Sinnott's plans.

"Tony will be a good acquisition," said Sinnott. "He is a very experienced defender and knows the Ryman League inside out. He was captain of Bedford Town in their promotion year.

"It's taken a long time to get him, but the circumstances are right for both parties.

"He probably won't be in the squad (for Dulwich) because I'm loyal to players who have done a good job for me, but it won't be long before he is involved."

Sinnott, who selects from a full squad, added: "We're in good shape at the moment. We have no injuries or suspensions. We've also stopped conceding silly goals and Alan Foster is now showing the form I know he is capable of."

Oxford City will again be without David Billington for their trip to Walton & Hersham.

The former Sheffield Wednesday midfielder played for City Reserves against Sutton Reserves as he recovers from a hamstring injury. Kelvin McIntosh is back after a bout of flu.

City are hoping to build on Saturday's excellent 2-2 draw with high-flying Bognor Regis Town.

Manager Paul Lee said: "They are the best side we have played this season. You can see why they have only been beaten three times all season.

"Walton have had bad drainage problems with their pitch, so I'm taking a large squad.

"It's nice to select from almost a full squad. We've got more options, so I can now pick horses for courses."

Long-term injury victim Chris Organ, who was badly hurt in a road accident in August, is starting his rehabilitation after having operations on his nose and cheekbone.

Mickey Lewis is still out with a hip and back problem, while Matty Hayward is waiting for an operation on a troublesome knee.

Abingdon Town could parade their new signing from Division 1 leaders Aylesbury, Dave Tregurtha, for their trip to Chalfont St Peter. Jon Muttock is back from suspension.

Alan Thorne said: "Dave got injured at Aylesbury and couldn't get back in the team. He's a good Division 1 defender, very good in the air. He played for me when I was at Thame and is a quality player.

"We played well last week against Clitheroe, who are a good side, and were unlucky not to get something. If we can play like that we should have no worries about relegation."
