Headington Middle School, national champions for the last two years, came up trumps again to triumph in a thrilling sudden death penalty shoot-out in the Oxford United final of the Railtrack six-a-side tournament.
The final of the under 11 competition against St Edmund's, Abingdon kicked off before United's clash with Torquay at The Kassam Stadium on Tuesday.
But with the two sides locked together at 1-1 at the end of normal time, Cameron Lagen netting for Headingon before Jenny Webb grabbed a last-gasp equaliser, the game went into extra time.
The golden goal rule applied, but with neither side able to force a winner, it had to be decided on penalties.
However, with the kick-off in United's Division 3 game fast approaching, the spot-kick shoot-out was held over until half-time.
It then turned into a marathon affair with the two sides still level after the first set of five penalties, and after a further set of three spot-kicks.
Sudden death then came into operation, and with Headington captain Ange Mbaki scoring in the second round of penalties and Ricky Marsden making a fine save, Headington were crowned Oxford champs for the fourth time in five years.
Headington, who won the national final at Wembley two years a go and triumphed at the Millennium Stadium last year, go on to represent United in the south west final at Bristol Rovers' training ground on Wednesday.
