Magistrates heard that police found a drink driver trying to reverse off a roundabout after a head-on crash with another vehicle.
Lawrence Murtha was in his Mazda on the A4130 Didcot-Milton Heights link road next to the Mendip Heights turn at 10.31pm on January 19, Shelley Cranshaw, prosecuting told Didcot magistrates. A breath test showed he had drunk more than three times the legal limit, at 106 micrograms of alcohol per 100ml of breath. The limit is 35 micro- grams.
Murtha, 40, of Anna Pavlova Close, Abingdon, admitted driving with excess alcohol. It was his second drink-drive conviction. Magistrates remanded him for reports and imposed an interim disqualification.
