There were celebrations at the Churchill Hospital, Oxford, yesterday when it celebrated its 60th birthday.
Doctors and nurses at the hospital, built to cater for bomb victims during the Second World War, helped mark the milestone.
After the war it was handed over to Oxford City Council and became an NHS hospital.
