Oxford Devils made an impressive start in the first of five consecutive away fixtures by beating much-fancied Westminster Warriors 94-64 at Moberley Sports Centre on Saturday night.
The first quarter was dominated by the Devils, restricting the London team to only ten points as they put 27 points on the scoreboard themslves.
Joe Milnes led the way with ten points.
Warriors came back in the second period, but the Devils' defence withstood the pressure and good spells by Neil Baker and Phil Alexander saw them go in at the break 31-47 up.
The third period turned out to be a stalemate with the teams sharing the points.
Michael O'Hanlon hit two long-range three-point shots to start the final quarter, and with Phil Alexander controlling the offence, Milnes, Kelly and Baker were freed to score a clutch of points to take the period 28-14.
Leading scorers: Milnes 22, Baker 12, O'Hanlon 11, Ashton & Armstrong 10.
