Hook Norton trainer Peter Hiatt landed the first double of his career when Scented Air and Sundried Tomato scored at Wolverhampton yesterday.

Scented Air (7-2), ridden by Emily Jones, set the ball roling when taking the first division of the Littlewoods Bet Direct Amateur Riders' Handicap by two lengths from Bank On Him.

And Sundried Tomato (5-1) made it a day to remember for Hiatt when opening his account in the betdirect.co.uk Maiden Stakes in the hands of Joanna Badger.

Hiatt's 26-1 double comes after he increased his all-weather team to around 12 for this winter.

Richard Johnson had his first taste of success - since coming back after breaking his right leg - with a double at Kempton yesterday.

Johnson, who struck on Jacklighte Bellevue and Gunther McBride, said: "That's brilliant."

There was also a winner at the Sunbury track for Paul Webber's Cropredy stables near Banbury when King Claudius got up in the dying strides to beat Special Present by a short head in the second division of the bumper.

But Wantage-based jockey Carl Llewellyn, who broke his nose in a heavy fall at Cheltenham on Saturday, was ruled out of the meeting after being stood down for six days as a result of the spill when he got to the course.
