A lawyer and a marketing consultant have been chosen to monitor their local council.
Philip Walker and Stuart Harrison are the two members of the public selected to sit on West Oxfordshire District Council's new standards committee.
Mr Walker, of Bridge Street, Bampton, is a group legal manager for an international software company and Mr Harrison, once a reporter for the Oxford Mail's sister paper the Witney Gazette, now works in the leisure and hospitality industry. He lives at New Yatt Road, Witney.
They form part of a watchdog committee required by law to monitor a code of conduct for all 49 councillors.
It also contains four councillors as well as a parish council representative, John Crewe, from Hailey.
Margaret Thompson, of Viner Close, Witney, the managing director of a plant hire company, will stand in when either Mr Walker or Mr Harrison is unavailable for meetings.
