Thame United will be aiming for their third win in a row when they travel to fifth-placed Northwood in Ryman League Division 1 tonight.
With Saturday's game at Dulwich Hamlet a victim of the bad weather, Andy Sinnott's outfit are anxious to increase their slim chances of promotion.
Sinnott said: "We've had two solid perfomances and two good wins. They are building blocks.
"We are trying to claw our way back into the promotion picture. It's the start of an important month for us.
"All good runs start with a couple of wins, and we have to keep that going.
"Northwood are going well. They play a similar system to us, so it should be an interesting game.
"We had a good, hard training session on Saturday. The rain was pouring off the players, but everyone enjoyed it."
Sinnott selects from a full squad, though their new signing from Banbury, Tony Joyce, who was expected to play for the reserve team on Saturday, is left out.
"Tony will train with us on Thursday and he may well be in contention for Saturday's game with Staines."
Meanwhile, Oxford City, whose visit to Walton & Hersham was also rained off, hope to build on their excellent home draw with Bognor Regis Town, when another promotion-chasing side, Harlow Town visit Court Place Farm.
Mark Druce, who missed the Bognor game with a hip injury, is back in the squad.
Manager Paul Lee, whose players also trained on Saturday, said the pitch looked in good shape. "We called off the reserves game on Saturday in preparation for today's game. It's lovely and flat. But we'll have to see what the weather does.
"Harlow are going for promotion, so it will be a difficult game. But we have an almost full-strength squad to pick from."
Thame Utd (v Northwood, away): from Foster, Saulsbury, Avery, Lee, Brown, Williams, Merritt, Smith, Perna, Abassi, West, Cort, Louis, Potter.
Oxford C (v Harlow Tn, home): from Nelson, Dark, Woodhouse, Thorp, Farley, Wimble, McIntosh, Smith, Druce, Arkins, Vickers, Whitehead, Ferreira, Wise, Holder, Mitchell, Fontaine.
