The fourth round of the Oxford Mail Cross Country League takes place this Sunday, with the event going out of the county for the only time this season.
The hosts for round four, are Cirencester Athletics Club, with the race being held at Cirencester Park - a popular venue around the estate of Earl Bathurst.
The men's race will be run round three muddy woodland laps and includes a water feature, and a steep hill, which will be all the more challenging following the recent heavy rains.
Bourton's Dennis Walmsley hopes to make only his second appearance of the season in what is effectively his home race.
However, he, like Headington's Richard Bromley, cannot score in the overall competition as the pair have not entered enough of the races.
The chase for the men's team prize is certainly hotting up, and Headington hope to make some inroads into Woodstock Harriers' and White Horse Harriers' lead, with both the overall leader John Lisiewicz and the talented Paul Northrop expected to run.
Don't rule out Banbury Harriers either, as they have become a real threat to the main protagonists, especially with Peter George and Simon Pritchard running into form.
In the women's race, Headington already look likely winners of the team prize, but who turns out at Cirencester will depend on how they all feel after the Southern Region championships at Parliament Hill last weekend.
