Bicester MP Tony Baldry has joined more than 100 MPs in supporting a petition from Macmillan Cancer Relief.
The charity builds new cancer centres and then gives them to the NHS, but current tax laws mean they cannot claim back the VAT -- currently worth about £1m -- because they do not retain and manage the buildings. MPs want the Government to change its policy and allow the charity to reclaim the money.
