The Bicester and Launton branch of the Royal British Legion this year raised £10,679.62 for the Poppy appeal.
The money was raised between October 29 and Remembrance Day on November 11.
Local groups contributed to the appeal, with 1st Bicester Beavers raising £136.50 through a sponsored silence and the Bicester Rotaract raising £400 through a war-time themed evening.
Organiser Carole MacKay said: "Although this amount is about £200 less than last year's record, we had 16 fewer collectors than before.
"The average age of our collectors is 80 and many of the older volunteers could not turn out this year. To raise almost as much as last year with not so many people is phenomenal."
