Macbeth, Shakespeare's gripping tale of murderous ambition, is to be staged in the stark surroundings of the BMW car plant in Cowley.
The play, more usually performed in the plush settings of traditional theatres, will be acted out on the factory floor of the plant -- more famous as the home of the new Mini.
The play is being staged by the Creation Theatre Company, which last year staged Hamlet at the works.
Debbie Richards, of Creation, said: "We thought Macbeth would work well as it's a very gritty play and the battle scenes lend themselves to the industrial environment."
The play runs from tomorrow to March 23. Call 01865 245745 for tickets.
