Witney Roadrunners' under 11s boys produced a tremendous performance at the Southern Region Indoor Championships, finishing second just behind the Isle of Wight.
In total, eight boys and four girls from Witney competed in Portsmouth, with the girls' team finishing in the bronze medal position overall.
No fewer than 41 Witney athletes from three age groups competed in the third round of the Oxfordshire Sportshall League at Bicester.
Wins from Marianne Buckingham and Claire Butler in the three-lap race, helped the Witney under 11s team to second place.
Peter Sissons stormed home to win the one-lap race, with Collis King victorious in the three-lap event.
Fine all-round performances ensured first place for the boys team ahead of rivals Bicester.
Lewis Warren and Darren Mason both won their four-lap races, which helped Witney under 13 boys to come first, with the girls finishing a close second to Radley Ladies.
Hannah Nixon, Lucy Chick and Claire McLoughlin all won their two-lap races for Witney.
