A double salvo from goal machine Steve King helped Sandman, keep up the pressure on Division 1 leaders Blue Boar with a 4-2 win at Long Wittenham.
But it wasn't easy for Sandman as they fought back from 2-0 down.
Strugglers Wittenham took the lead after ten minutes when Richard Jones deflected home a long ball from veteran Brian Robins, before Tom Young's penalty made it 2-0.
But Sandman battled back with King's brace, and other goals from Pete Arbuthnot and Chris Watkins, confirming victory.
Standlake Garage climbed out of the Division 2 basement for the first time this season, with a 5-0 victory at The Crown Marcham.
It was sweet revenge for Standlake, who earlier in the season suffered an 8-2 home drubbing from the same opponenets.
Garage grabbed their first goal after just 10 minutes, when Tim Baston nipped through to fire past Crown's keeper Lee Pratley.
Danny Lee added another five minutes later, when he got on the end of a long ball from Pete Claridge, and it was 3-0 just before the break, when Baston scored his second.
In the second half Lee notched his second goal of the contest, with Duncan Sellman's goal sealing the win.
Meanwhile, in Division 3A William Rumm scored a hat-trick as third-placed OUP Wanderers won 3-2 at leaders Medisense. Steve Bayliss and Ben Parry replied.
College Oak go fourth as they beat The Stocks 5-2 with strikes from Lee Kilpin (2), James Thompson, Adam Oram and Gareth Aldworth. Tom Ryan and Matt Youl replied.
In Division 3B Mark Pryde grabbed a hat-trick in General Elliott's 4-2 win at JET. Ian Grey got the other, while John Wright replied.
Research Machines remain the strongest challengers to leaders Dolphin after a 4-3 win at Chilton Casuals.
Chris Coppock scored a brace, with Simon Collett, Gareth Jones and an own goal, acccounting for RM's other goals. Chilton's scorers were Matt Belcher, David Blissett and Rob Taylor.
Hampstead Norreys beat Didcot Wheatsheaf 3-0 with goals from Nick Elphick, Jason Canning and Lewis Blythe.
A late goal from David Laye helped The Bell, Grove to their fourth win in a row, and put them back in the Division 3B promotion race, as they beat Benson Harts 3-2.
Brian Riggs gave The Bell the lead from the penalty spot, after being brought down by Dave Smith, before Harts levelled through Alan Norris.
Riggs re-established Bell's lead, with his second penalty after the ball was handled by a defender.
Smith made up for conceding the early penalty with a long range strike, before Laye got the winner ten minutes from time.
