Corby Tn 1, Banbury Utd 1
Banbury United brought their recent poor run to an end with a draw at Corby Town in last night's Dr Martens Eastern Division game.
United, who had gained only four points from their travels this season, were anxious to stop the rot and dominated the first half.
Although there were no goals, Banbury went close on a number of occasions to breaking the deadlock in the derby clash.
Their best chance was a header from ex-Oxford City defender Andy Wallbridge which agonisingly shaved a Corby post.
Later in the half, an Ian Walker clearance from the Corby defence hit a Banbury post and bounced out.
In the second half Corby scored before Banbury really could get out of the blocks and then it looked like United were once again left fighting a losing cause.
However, Kevin Brock's team kept battling away. The replacement of 21-goal Milner, and Matty Travers with former Witney Town midfielder George Redknap and youngster Lewis Travers added some extra bite to the attack.
And seven minutes from time, Banbury were rewarded for their efforts, when Jody McKay equalised stabbing the ball just inside the post for his seventh goal of the season.
