More Sassenachs than Scots attended a Burns coffee morning to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation.
Englishman Capt John Flood, the chairman of the Didcot branch of the foundation, said: "As we had planned the coffee morning the day after Burns Night, it seemed a good gimmick to take advantage of the Scottish poet."
There was a Scottish flavour to the raffle with a haggis and two bottles of whisky among the prizes. The coffee morning raised £180, and Capt Flood thanked Didcot Conservative Club for allowing free use of its lounge.
