A project to provide careers advice for people from ethnic minority groups in Oxfordshire has been given £225,000 by the Government.
It is part of a £5m boost from the Department for Education and Skills for pilot projects to provide advice and guidance to adults.
Only 20 of the 100 bids for money were successful.
The Oxfordshire Information Advice and Guidance Partnership will now recruit three people to train as guidance advisers, who will help people with English as a second language to identify their strengths and interests, and build their confidence.
They will help them to find training and, eventually, jobs.
