A surveillance operation by police in Oxford's Blackbird Leys and Greater Leys estates resulted in 15 arrests.
More than 2,200 vehicles had their number plates checked during the one-day Operation Brag, which involved more than 40 officers.
High-visibility patrols and use of a machine which automatically checks vehicle registration details, resulted in arrests for alleged offences including burglary, driving while disqualified, drug offences and vehicle crime.
Chief Insp Mark Millar, Oxford police's head of operations, said: "This was part of our ongoing process to provide high-profile policing."
