Oxford Cheetahs' victorious team manager Colin Meredith has been rewarded for his efforts last year by being re-appointed at the helm for the new season.
Meredith is also regarded as one of the top track curators in the country - he was a leading light in the building of the track at the Millennium Stadium at Cardiff last summer.
Rumours had been gaining momentum that he was to be replaced for the new campaign, but promoter Vanessa Purchase confirmed yesterday that this was not the case
"Colin is an integral part of our operation and continues with our blessing," she said.
A fans' forum has been arranged for Friday, February 8 at Oxford Stadium. The event will get underway at 8pm and it is hoped that several personalities from the speedway world will attend.
It has also been agreed that the deadline for purchasing season tickets at the discounted rate will be extended to this forum date. Purchase added: "Ticket sales continue to be very strong and we want to make sure that everyone who wants a season ticket has the opportunity to apply at the lower rate."
All season ticket application forms that have been requested have been sent out but more are available on 01235 763559. Forms will also be available at the forum.
