Banbury's mayor Cllr Jim Vine is urging schools to enter a Wild Waste Rubbish Sculpture competition.

The contest, sponsored by Oxfordshire County Council, is open to key stage one to key stage five pupils in all Banbury schools.

Schools must confirm entries with the mayor at the town council offices in Bridge Street by Friday, March 22.

The challenge is to make a portable and free-standing sculpture from recyclable rubbish. For details call the mayor's personal assistant, Tricia Campbell, on 01295 221742 or 221894.
