Return to full time coaching saw a return to form for Andy Taylor, in the Spring Classic at Chipping Norton, the opening event of the Berks, Bucks & Oxon professional season.
The former Magnolia Park pro, who now teaches at the Heathfield Driving Range, near Kidlington, finished equal third with a one-under-par round of 70.
Also finishing on that mark were Chipping Norton's Neil Rowlands and Mark McGeehan.
The winner was Rob Watts, from Castle Royle, who came in with a superb score of 65 on a course that was in excellent condition.
