Oxford United today announced their season ticket prices for the 2002/03 season - and it's good news for fans.

There will be just one increase on the current rates, with supporters wishing to use the Manor Lounge and Maurice Evans Lounge areas now getting a matchday bar with draught beer and a SKY Sports package for their money.

And the club have announced several new initiatives in a bid to attract more supporters to The Kassam Stadium.

To encourage fans to buy season tickets with a friend, United have introduced a special 'buy one get another half-price' offer for the North Stand.

Season tickets were not available for this area last year, but supporters can now buy two for a combined total of £375 before the end of June.

After many requests, the club will be introducing student discounts, which will offer a 25 per cent reduction for tickets on production of a valid NUS card.

Next season will also see an increase in the size of the Co-op family area, which will be enlarged to almost the half-way line in the South Stand lower tier.

There are also on-the-day reductions for under 16 and over 65 year-olds in the Oxford Mail Stand and family area of the South Stand Lower.
