One hundred items, from signed photos of David Beckham to babysitting services, are coming under the hammer at a school auction.

The event at Ducklington Primary School aims to boost a major appeal to build a new adventure playground to replace one destroyed in an arson attack two years ago.

The parent teacher association has already raised £2,000 from a panto production and £3,500 from a summer fair towards the £10,000 needed.

The auction of promises and memorabilia takes place on Saturday, April 27, at 7.30pm. Mark Baker, of Wilsons Commercial in Witney, will be the auctioneer.

Martin Dines, PTA chairman, said the objective was to provide the new playground during the Queen's Golden Jubilee year, and everything was going to plan.
