The Kassam Stadium will have an all-seater stand at the open end of the ground for the first time, when rugby union's Parker Pen Shield final is staged there at the end of May.
The rules of the competition state that the venue for the final must have a minimum seating capacity of 15,000.
The current capacity at the Kassam Stadium is only 12,500, so a temporary stand with more than 2,500 seats will be erected at the car park end for the final, which will take place on Sunday, May 26.
The Kassam hosts one of the semi-finals, London Irish v Pontypridd, next Saturday, with a near-sell out crowd expected.
The chances of Moseley moving to Oxford ended when members stumped up £150,000 to pay off the debts of the struggling Midlands rugby club.
