A computer expert from Oxford, who has been missing for almost two months, may have been abducted.

Police said they are treating the disappearance of 20-year-old Jonathan Dolton as seriously as a murder.

His parents, Alan and Sheila, from Stanley Close, Oxford, have pleaded for anyone with information to come forward.

Mr Dolton has not been seen since leaving a friend's house in Wolverton, Milton Keynes, on Sunday, February 24. A week later, police found his abandoned Daihatsu Fourtrac in Glovers Lane, Milton Keynes.

A shopkeeper reported it had been parked there on the morning of Mr Dolton's disappearance.

Police believe he had earlier returned to his home in Stony Stratford, Buckinghamshire, where someone may have surprised him.

Mr Dalton's mother said: "We don't know if he is alive or dead."

Det Supt Steve Morrison, leading the investigation, said: "We are treating his disappearance as seriously as a murder investigation."

Mr Dalton is 5ft 10in tall, of thin build, with mousey short hair. He has a tattoo of barbed wire on his left arm.

Anyone with information should contact the incident room on 01908 686000 or Crimestoppers 0800 555111.
