Plans to put a mobile home on a poultry farm have been withdrawn.
Dr Lutfi Radwan, of Heath Lane, Bladon, near Woodstock, intends to house about 2,000 chickens in fields at Hampton Gay, near Kidlington, and argues that an agricultural worker needs to live on the site.
He submitted a planning application to Cherwell District Council for permission to put a mobile home on the site but, because of opposition, he has withdrawn it for the time being.
Opposition has come from villagers in Hampton Gay and Bletchingdon, who say the mobile home is not needed and would be an eyesore.
Permission was not needed for the poultry farm because the land is already classified for agricultural use. The first flock of chickens is expected in early May,
