The Oxford Times Cherwell League gets under way on Saturday. All this week, Peter Fenn will be previewing the top four divisions. Today: Division 4
DIDCOT have been boosted by the recruitment of Australian Jamie Smith.
An all-rounder from Skye CC, Smith replaces Luke Raymond, who has returned to the same club in Victoria.
Batsman Graham McPherson rejoins the club after a spell in Zimbabwe, and opening bowler Will Harvey, who is new to the area, completes Didcot's signings.
Wallingford, who finished in mid-table last year, rely on the same players with no additions nor losses.
Batsman Matt Collins is Bicester & North Oxford 2nd's new skipper as they bid to bounce back from relegation last year.
He's hoping that a stronger first team will benefit the second string.
Opening batsman Mark Avery makes a welcome return to Princes Risborough after an absence of several years.
He is joined by ex-Tring batsman John Witney and Brian Pigott, from Dinton.
Paceman Ejaz Ahmed has returned from Pakistan and should again spearhead the attack for Wendover, whose new skipper is James Tovey.
Bletchley 2nd, who were relegated from Division 3 last term, have lost first-team skipper Kelvin Locke to Tring.
Khayam Zafir has also moved on, but Bletchley welcome back South African all-rounder Russell Sissing.
There are no changes at Long Marston. The division is completed by Challow & Childrey 2nd, Tiddington 2nd and Wolverton 2nd.
