VISITORS to an Oxfordshire garden centre are being urged to hand in their old spectacles to help people overseas.
The campaign is being run at Notcutts' centres across the country, including the branch at Nuneham Courtenay.
It follows on from the chain's Rake Out Your Old Tools national campaign, which resulted in 45 crates of tools being sent to developing countries.
The manager at Nuneham Courtenay, Roger Wilson, said: "Everyone was so enthusiastic about our last campaign that we agreed we must come up with something again this year.
"With the Notcutts' Chelsea 2002 exhibit featuring the sensory garden, we looked for a campaign associated with one of the senses and decided sight would fit the bill."
The campaign will start on Monday, May 20, and will run for four weeks.
