Director Suzie Templeton, winner of the 2002 Bafta for Short Animation, is coming to show her six-minute film, Dog, on Saturday, May 18, at the Players Theatre, in Nelson Street, Thame.
The film is a puppet animation about a young boy, reassured by his father about the way his mother died.
The director will also be giving a talk about the making of the film, illustrated with some of the delicate figures that feature in it. Dog also won the McLaren Award for best New British Animation at the Edinburgh Film Festival.
The film is part of the next presentation by Thame Cinema For All, which shows movies at the Players Theatre every month.
The main feature on Saturday is Ghost World (15), described by Observer critic Philip French as "a cool, touching, very funny movie".
Doors open at 7.30pm and the screenings begin at 8pm. Free membership is available at the door.
