Oxon Senior League round-up
LONG Crendon have got the Premier Division title jitters.
A 2-0 defeat by championship rivals Adderbury Park on Monday, coming hot on the heels of a 5-1 home thrashing by Charlton United last Thursday means the crown is still up for grabs.
Crendon fell behind ten minutes into the second half against Adderbury when Joel Bloxham netted, and their fate was sealed when Matt Davies headed home ten minutes from time.
Now Crendon must beat Broughton & North Newington on Saturday to clinch the title. Any slip up would let in Adderbury, whose last game is at home to relegated Ruscote next Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Adderbury Res retained the Clarendon Cup with a 1-0 win over Kidlington Old Boys Res in the final at Old Woodstock Town.
James Easterbrook hit the winner in a game in which both sides missed penalties.
