Art lovers in Abingdon are looking forward to a busy nine days with three groups staging exhibitions as part of the Oxford Artweeks.
Abingdon artists are staging their Spring exhibition in the town council chambers starting on Saturday, running through until next Wednesday.
The Crab Tree Art Group is holding an exhibition in the basement of Abingdon Museum and the East St Helen Street Group has an exhibition at 43 East St Helen Street. Both start on Saturday and continue until May 19.
At the Abingdon artists exhibition, there will be a variety of paintings in various media such as watercolour, oil, acrylics, pastel and mixed media. Visitors will have the chance to vote for the picture they consider the best in show.
The Crab Tree Group will be showing paintings, prints and ceramics at the museum in what will be its second Artweeks exhibition.
The East St Helen Street Group will be exhibiting works in oils, watercolour and pastels and many of the works will be figurative. In addition to paintings there will be an unusual collection of paper sculptures.
