A school is to mark its 30th anniversary with a reunion for former staff and students.
Cheney School, in Headington, Oxford, celebrates three decades as a comprehensive school next month.
The school was formed in 1972 as an upper school for students aged 13 to 19 following the amalgamation of the neighbouring mixed technical and girls' grammar schools.
Guest of honour at the celebrations will be Pam Pinfold -- the only member of staff to have worked at the school for the past 30 years. Ms Pinfold, who runs the sixth form snack bar, is known to thousands of former students.
The reunion will also feature a cricket match between present and former staff.
Headteacher Alan Lane said: "We hope to be able to welcome back to Cheney many of the former staff and students who have attended the school since 1972."
The school is currently in the middle of a £6m building programme, as part of the reorganisation of Oxford's education system. The expansion will allow the school to cope with the expected influx of students following the change from a three- to two-tier education system, in September 2003. Guests will be invited to hear about the development plans.
Celebrations will take place on Saturday, June 22, with an anniversary lunch at 12.30pm.
Tickets, costing £10, are available on 01865 765726.
