A west Oxfordshire link with Belarus is helping villagers with a goose farming project.
Vetka is a district of Belarus which is still seriously contaminated by radiation from the Chernobyl power station disaster.
The Vetka link with west Oxfordshire was set up more than a year ago with visits on both sides. One project backed by the link involves raising geese.
On Wednesday, June 12, there will be a public meeting of the group at West Oxfordshire District Council's offices in Wood Green, Witney, starting at 7.30pm.
Four members of the group, who are visiting the area this month, will give a talk and show photographs of the trip.
Spokesman Ann Applegate said: "We now have members in many towns and villages in west Oxfordshire.
"Villagers in Svetilovichy kept 10 of the geese from last year to see if they will breed and have either eaten or sold the remaining 150 in the pilot project. They are hoping for at least 1,000 goslings to launch the co-operative."
