A Bicester woman's work to forge links with other countries has been recognised by the European Union.
Val Pearce
Val Pearce has been given a medal for her work with the Bicester and District Twinning Association.
She has been involved with Bicester's twinning with Neunkirchen-Seelscheid for almost the whole of the 20 years the links have existed.
When the town celebrated the 20th anniversary at the weekend, Mrs Pearce was presented with a European Union medal for furthering twinning links by Helmut Meng, mayor of the German town.
The ceremony took place at a commemorative open-air service at Garth Park, Launton Road, on Sunday.
