Young footballers were taking part in an annual memorial match today in honour of their former goalkeeper Ross Doyle, who was killed by a hit-and-run driver.
The Ross Doyle Memorial Cup is being held for the second time in memory of the nine-year-old, who died in December 2000 after being knocked down in Pegasus Road, Blackbird Leys, Oxford.
Ross played for the Oxford Blackbirds Under-10s, and the team was today taking on Cholsey Under-10s on the football pitches in Cuddesdon Way.
